Estic molt emocionat: acabo de guanyar una beca per participar en el Master<\/b> in Quantum <\/b>Science<\/b> and<\/b> Technologies <\/b>a Barcelona.<\/p>\n

A m\u00e9s d\u2019aprendre m\u00e9s sobre el fascinant m\u00f3n de la f\u00edsica qu\u00e0ntica, posar\u00e9 les bases per la meva carrera professional en un camp en plena expansi\u00f3 que promet modelar les tecnologies del futur.<\/p>\n

S\u00f3c professora de f\u00edsica a un institut de secund\u00e0ria. Em preocupa la falta de coneixement de la gent sobre <\/b>l\u2019actualitat cient\u00edfica<\/b>. Refugiant-se en noms t\u00e8cnics i aprofitant-se de la desinformaci\u00f3 i la falta d\u2019esperit cr\u00edtic, cada cop hi ha m\u00e9s estafes pseudocient\u00edfiques que no fan m\u00e9s que treure diners a la gent. No, no existeix cap metge qu\u00e0ntic! La ci\u00e8ncia no \u00e9s m\u00e0gia<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Procuro que els meus alumnes entenguin els conceptes cient\u00edfics i en s\u00e0piguen fer una an\u00e0lisi cr\u00edtica i aplicable a la realitat quotidiana.<\/p>\n

Els petits canvis que la llum pateix al travessar espais i materials poden ajudar-nos a mesurar amb alta precisi\u00f3<\/b> moltes caracter\u00edstiques del m\u00f3n que ens envolta, com per exemple la dist\u00e0ncia i la temperatura.<\/p>\n

A l\u2019ICFO treballem per obtenir sensors cada dia m\u00e9s resistents per mesurar la temperatura i els camps el\u00e8ctrics en condicions extremes, com pot ser un incendi.<\/p>\n

Tamb\u00e9 investiguem com construir sensors ultra sensibles gr\u00e0cies a les propietats de la f\u00edsica qu\u00e0ntica<\/strong>, com per exemple una balan\u00e7a que pot detectar la pres\u00e8ncia de tan sols un \u00e0tom amb nanotubs de carboni o \u00e0toms freds que podrien mesurar els petits camps magn\u00e8tics generats pel nostre cervell.<\/p>\n
