Most people think that the difference between the light emitted by a lamp and the light emitted by a streetlight is determined by the kind of LED used in each one. However, this is not the case. The same LED can be used for both and still produce different light. So, what makes them different is the lens. This paper sets out the entire process of designing a lens for a lamp and where the general design leads to a specific one.<\/p>\n
