Our project is about the construction of some of the first cinema devices that shaped its origin. The illusion of continuous motion is called apparent motion to distinguish it from \u2018real\u2019 motion, which is perceived when an object moves continuously across a viewer\u2019s visual field. We have experimented with the camera obscura, the zoetrope, the kinegrames and the flipbook. Some of these optical toys show a sequences of pictures, that when put into movement produce an image movement sensation.<\/p>\n
