discover new career opportunities in cutting-edge science and technology fields

ICFO has created this program to inspire professional careers in STEM. It is a collection of events directed to university undergraduate, master or PhD students and are focused on specific areas such as quantum technologies.

Three to four experts in the field talk about their job, both explaining the project they are working on but also pointing out the professional challenges of their careers. Each talk lasts up to 5 minutes, to give time for the audience to ask their questions to the panel of professionals.

These events are mostly online, allowing us to reach an international audience, also in the framework of larger initiatives, such as the Quantum Bits events, that are part of the QTEdu QT5M pilot project led by ICFO.

There is also a version of this program (Photonics in 5 minutes!) adapted to high school students, focused on rasing interest about scientific research and its positive impact on society.
